Dr. Bhat doesn't like medicaid patients. She treats them like second class citizens. She listens very well but doesn't seem to take me seriously. She doesn't seem to understand that I am the best judge of my medical needs, I have lived inside my body for 58 years, and I know best what is going on inside of me, and that her analysis is secondary. I have only had her as a primary care provider for a few months, so I will give it some time, but time is of the essence in my case. When you are sick, you need help now. Dr. Bhat tried to get me to have a colonoscopy. I said "no" based on my past, very negative experiences with the procedure. Also, because I am having serious problems with heat and dehydration. Who wants to drain their body of all the nutrients they have by doing the "prep" for a colonoscopy??? It is a disgusting procedure. I believe that pissed her off. She thinks of me as being "non-compliant". I WILL DECIDE WHAT GETS DONE TO MY BODY. Dr. Sheela Bhat didn't like the review I posted previously, so she "fired" me from her practice. Why don't you kick me while I'm down Dr. Sheela?? I'm still suffering quite a bit due to my medical conditions. Remember, "First do no harm." Now, here I am wide awake and stressed out at 4:14 AM, and naturally exhausted. I haven't really gotten any "restorative sleep" for several months/years. Dr. S Bhat's response to my serious sleep disorder and my state of exhaustion was to suggest/prescribe an SSRI (ie. Prozac or Effexor). SSRIs are well known to exacerbate insomnia. I know this first hand from experiencing 4 years on Prozac. I was a Prozac guinea pig in 1988. When I told her that any SSRI will keep me awake even more, her flippant response was something like "Well you're awake anyway." How professional is that? Does that indicate that she understands what I'm going through? I don't think so. It is now 3:25 AM on Saturday 5/19/2018. I have had very little sleep in the last 24 - 48 hours. I am in pain. I have MS. I am trying very hard to arrange new care providers. I can't bathe without an assistant, which I can't afford. To make a long story short, If Dr. Sheela Bhat had helped me when I first went to her, I wouldn't be as sick as I am now. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I absolutely do not recommend her. It is now 6:07 AM on Monday 5/28/18. I have not slept in 2 days. Why wouldn't Dr.Bhat prescribe me something to help me sleep? I don't use any illicit drugs. She has labs on me that prove this. Does the DEA really have that much of a hold on her? I don't know how I'm going to get through this day. Exhaustion is an official diagnosis. It can kill a person. I will never go to her again because she has proven herself to be useless. I just want to warn other patients that she can't help you. Unless you are healthy. If you are healthy, you don't need a doctor in the first place.

Dr Baht was very knowledgeable and took time with me. I have a long history but got it down accurately. I look forward to a long association with her

I've NEVER been treated so POORLY by a physician in all of my 54 years. Just moved back to AZ and called around for a new patient appt and Dr.Bhat had the shortest time to wait (two weeks), I waited a short time to be called into room where I spent the next hour with an medical assistant asking me questions while typing into a computer. Dr. Bhat finally came in and then I spent another hour while she looked into the computer asked questions (mostly the same as her medical assistant did) Dr.Bhat sent me away with NOTHING but a copay to her pocket. I have severe DDD with six failed fusions C2-C7, 25 DOCUMENTED YEARS of chronic pain, to which she actually said to me " You're going to go into withdrawls, What are you going to do ?" she DID NOT CARE about what would happen to me ...Dr.Bhat said she" didn't want the DEA to come into her practice " ..NO OFFER of anything to help my pain UNTIL I could find a Doctor that cared about their patients, telling me to go to a pain clinic ...years and years of shots, ablations, pumps, trigger point shots etc...have done NOTHING, I told her that , she made a decision NOT to treat me for my pain and that's her right to do so ...Funny though, if someone she cared about had to "live" in the pain I do every single day , I'm sure she would make sure they were taken care of ...I hope that you Dr.Bhat are NOT denied proper care should you NEED it. I sent a letter to Dr.Bhat, it was not addressed. If you want a Dr.that treats the "whole you " not just parts of you , I highly suggest you keep moving on and find a Dr. with compassion and empathy, this Dr Bhat has ZERO.

Dr Baht was very thorough and took allot of time with me. She tried hard to educate me and go over every detail. I would recommend her.

Very much more thorough than a lot of doctors, and I have a lot of annoying little and severe issues. I feel comfortable being honest about things, she has not judged me for things I've confided once she got to know me...this is important because many do make assumptions on sight, and this has caused me massive amounts of additional problems. As with all doctors, I wish they were not so overworked and rushed.
