  As a general dentist w 20+ years of experience I can say without a doubt that this office and Dr. Zia and Dr. Farshy are the BEST+ in the business. I highly recommend them.

  I went there for root canal, they all, specially Dr. Zia were exteremely unfriendly, knowing that I'm a proud Iranian and he is one too (unfortunately), he started criticizing Iranians, I knew at that point he is not very Normal individual. And yes, before anything they took a 3D X-ray and charged me 350$ (they don't accepet insiurance), which later I learned it was not necessary, and they told me the cost of root canal would be 2800$. To make a long story short, I walked out after they robbed me 350$ and consulted with Dr. Zia. Thereafter, I went to see Dr. Amir Sarkarzadeh, he is also an Iranian, but polar opposite of the above individual. Dr. Sarkarzadeh was extremely friendly, he told me that 3D X-ray was unnecessary and regular X-ray which I had brought from my dentist was sufficient, he accepted my insurance and my out of pocket money was only 438$.

  I agree with one of the previous reviews. Who would think a root canal would be a pleasant experience, but it actually was. I was treated so well by Dr. Zia and everyone at his office. They are all professional, kind and quite gentle. While I hope you never need one, if you ever find yourself needing a root canal, do yourself and your teeth a favor and see Dr. Zia.

  Dr. Zia is wonderful! There is no better word to describe this intelligent, professional, competent and kind man who happens to be the best endodontist in the area. Who would think getting a root canal could be such a pleasant experience? No one i know...UNLESS they’ve had it done by Dr. Pirooz Zia. if i were you and i needed a root canal (as i did on an emergency basis only yesterday), I would RUN, NOT walk, to the office of Chevy Chase Endodontics. From start (Jennifer at the Front Desk) to finish (Dr. Zia’s competent and timely completion of the procedure) and everything in between (care from assistant Maritza), this practice shines. Recommend without hesitation!

  I have never seen an office filled with so many kind, caring, and professional individuals. Dr. Zia and Dr. Farshey have assembled a top notch team to deliver world class endodontics. I was apprehensive prior to my first appointment, but Dr. Zia and all team members made me feel extremely comfortable. I knew exactly what my diagnosis was, what was the source of the problem (a root canal and crown that was completed in Florida by another dentist), and what was the intended plan to fix my problem. I am very happy with my treatment, and was very comfortable during and after my treatment. I think I fell asleep for a while during treatment... that's how comfortable I was. I'll be recommending all my family and friends to this practice. Thank you for the great service!
