  I was referred to Dr. Shamul's office for a root canal procedure by my primary dentist. Dr. Yilan was the Endodontist that I saw in November of 2017. It took 2 separate visits but all went well & I was pleased with the services. I was told my insurance would cover most and I needed to pay $122.50, which I did upon leaving that day. I was told there s/b no additional bills but if so it w/b for a very small amount- or I may even receice a small refund, depending on final payments from my insurance company. LIARS! To my surprise, I was slapped with an additional $238.50 bill!! I called to see what could be done and on another day went to the office but nothing was done. Shouldn't the dental office know a rough estimate of what the insurance will cover- and what the patient is responsible for? Just a warning from my experience...be prepared to pay more than expected. Shame on them for sending out a 2nd bill that was almost twice the amount of the 1st bill. I am NOT happy.

  Dr. Shamul is an excellent endodontist. He treats his patients with care & kindness & explains all procedures thoroughly. His staff & assistants are wonderful. He uses the most advanced technology & imaging equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Shamul.
