  I don't care what anyone says. I have been going to his office for over 10 years. sent all my children, adult and other wise to him with all my colleagues and anyone I know: NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT. Nice and especially fair, not Greedy at all.

  JAW DROPPING AWFUL. The pinnacle of GARBAGE healthcare. I would rate negative stars if I could. I am astounded and blown away as to how terrible my dentist visit was from start to end. Allow me to detail the whole experience. I decided to visit Dr. Wicks for a standard cleaning and checkup. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to visit a doctor in the community. Despite some (very) poor reviews, I trusted the more positive ones and Dr. Wicks’ on-paper credentials. His website looked legitimate and welcoming. It also said that new patients need to show up 20 minutes early, and so I showed up 20 minutes early for my 9 am appointment. I arrive and immediately wonder if I am in the wrong place. I double check and I’m not. It appears that the building is shut and I am simply just confused. I wait till 9 am, and a front desk lady shows up to unlock the place. I tell her that I have a 9 am appointment as does another woman. We all enter the dentist office and it is absolutely freezing. The other woman and I wait and are eventually asked to fill out paperwork. Mind you, it is past 9 am already. At about 9:10 am other staff arrive and then the dentist Dr. Wicks arrives LATE, past the time his office has scheduled TWO appointments. I am bewildered at that point. The other lady gets called first so I remain waiting till 9:45 am! The wait was unnecessarily too long and I am amazed as to how little this dentist office cares about its patients and their time. I am about to leave but my name is finally called. The office is freezing and I have to take off my coat the get my x-rays. Afterwards I immediately put on my coat and have to wait again for the cleaning and Dr. Wicks to visit. Dr. Wicks finally shows up and stays for about only two minutes. Dr. Wicks does not even realize that he has a new patient until he glances quickly through the papers I filled out. He says my teeth are fine and tries to rush off even though I have questions. I am only able to ask him one question and he rushes off - as if I’m taking up so much of his time - and I had no opportunity to even ask my second question. I would possibly understand if he had to rush off to many more patients, but there weren’t any! Dr. Wicks had the absolute worst bedside manner I have ever experienced from a healthcare professional (and I thought I had already seen the worst healthcare in NYC). The (Spanish speaking) dental hygienist arrives; I try to talk to her but to no avail. The cleaning that she does is the worst one I have ever had. Usually you leave the dentist with super clean feeling teeth...I still had plaque left in mine. She lazily scrapes and scrubs for a little bit but when it was time to get towards the back of my teeth, she just stopped all together and did not even clean all of them!! She did not do flossing either, which is standard practice at every dentist office I have been to! To make the whole matter even worse, the water she used to rinse my mouth was SO cold that it pained my teeth. The front desk lady said she had brought me some warmer water but that was entirely false. The icing on top was that I did receive a free toothbrush. Usually the dentist gives you a toothbrush that they stand by. I, however, got a toothbrush that costs $1 for six brushes! It was a garbage wal-mart toothbrush. I left the office in shock and anger. The front desk ladies tried to get my to schedule my next appointment, but that was definitely not happening. So much of my time was wasted for a garbage dentist experience. Since this is how Dr. Wicks treats his uptown Harlem community patients and is the embodiment of unprofessionalism, I will never be returning. TLDR: My experience was AWFUL, the poorest medical experience I have ever had. Run from this dental office and take your business elsewhere. Dr. Wicks and his office embody the worst qualities of unprofessionalism.

  One of the best dentist I have seen as far. He did work on my teeth since 2013 that is really standing. Sad that I am no longer in NY to take advantage of his great work. I def recommend him.

  I love Dr. Wicks and his staff. They are always super friendly and thoughtful. I have never had any issues with them they follow up and Dr. Wicks beside manner is amazing. I was terrified to get some work done and he and his staff made me feel comfortable and it was all over before i knew it... well not exactly because he was in my mouth but they definitely made it ten times better than i was thinking it was going to be.
