  I've been here twice over the past three years and have had a very good breakfast both times. Generous portions and nice, prompt, friendly service too. I love the atmosphere and feel of the place as well, kind of like a comfy English pub. Gotta love the periodic table (in German?) on the wall too. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston.

  This place is very chill. Staff was super friendly. I ordered the kimchi burger (pictured) was delicious! The bread is soft, but not soggy. The meat is juicy, but not half water. The kimchi is flavorful, but not overpowering. The fries are bomb, wish I had tried the jalapeno truffle. I was too full for dessert, but will come back for sure. The beer selection is really good also! I love that they use local ingredients. Houston Strong!

  Very popular for weekend brunch! Delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere. Don’t underestimate their dinner / happy hour too! Less crowded at this time, and the buffalo cauliflower is a dish I’m still thinking about weeks later... servers are always friendly and helpful no matter how busy the place is. Definitely recommend this place.

  Found this place by accident, and I am very glad that I did. I will be back soon. Probably will be my new favorite place. Everything tasted great, and the waitress did a fine job.

  The service was excellent without being intrusive. The roasted cauliflower on the Happy Hour menu was delicious. We enjoyed the rainbow trout and grilled pork chops with poached pears - both were delicious. We will definitely be returning Down House.
