  I have stayed here numerous times over the years, and it is my go-to spot in the Berkeley area. The rooms definitely could benefit from some TLC, but everything is always spotlessly clean, the grounds and location on the water are beautiful, it is extremely quiet (aside from ocean noise) and the staff is amazing. The Berkeley Boathouse, while a little pricey for some of their food, is generally quite good. You can usually tell that the chef's enjoy what they do, as it carries over to their work. Aside from the rooms needing a bit of an rehabilitation, this place is nearly perfect, and they deliver a consistently good stay 98% of the time!

  "This is an old motel that has seen better days," well that might be how some people view it. I think this is a LOVELY place to stay. Staff were all very friendly. The view of the water and of the sail boats were so relaxing. It was so easy to walk to the bay trails or just sit by the gas fires at the motel. I really enjoyed my stay there. I will stay again next time I'm in the area.

  This a great hotel in a terrific location with a huge park on one side and great views in every direction. The on-site restaurant was very good with some excellent live jazz playing in the background. The staff, from the maids to the restaurant, to the front desk were all very welcoming and helpful. We had a room facing the marina with a small balcony which I would highly recommend. This is a terrific getaway for those living nearby that doesn’t feel too touristy, just very relaxing.

  Love the property and friendly customer service from the front desk, restaurant, and even maintenance staff. The property is older but very convenient. Luis at the bar is awesome and he is what keeps me coming back at least every other week for business. The only thing that could be better which is not the hotels fault is the cell phone or WiFi signal. Many perks if your a diamond member like comped breakfast, and $5 coupons for gift shop each day of your stay.

  Fabulous! Friendly staff. Friendly warm smiles at the front desk. Great food from the restaurant. Clean spacious rooms. Conveniently located to highway but nestled just far enough to creat it's own little world. The marina is beautiful. The views are spectacular. Surrounded by the bay...tranquil. Walking trails with benches are kept very clean. The grounds of the entire place is very well maintained. Oh! My! The warm cookies!! You're given warm cookies at check in and check out. The best cookies ever! They are given with a smile and you'll smile too once you bite into them.
