::What a great surprise! This little restaurant has a full bar and a full menu - including vegetarian options. Appetizers include shaved fennel (never saw this anywhere else - very good!), fried artichoke (also very good), and other favorites. I had striped bass superbly prepared. My wife and daughter had other entrees they totally enjoyed (a pizza and a pasta). Don't forget the gelato for dessert. Service was great and courteous. We got there at 5 p.m.; by 5:30 it was full. I don't live in Houston but I will go back to Dolce Vita Pizza next time I'm in town.

::Dolce vita (sweet life) indeed. Food is fantastic and the menu is varied. Our waitress had great wine pairing recommendations for what we were eating. Plenty of options for dietary restrictions, too; there are vegetarian and vegan options, and they can customize a pizza to suit your needs. I do not recall seeing a gluten-free option, though (although I wasn’t looking, I don’t have that restriction, luckily). Parking is valet only or you can park down the street and walk. My party arrived in both manners; valet is $3, plus any tip you’d like to provide.

::Amazing food, charming atmosphere, great drinks. Only negative is you cannot split checks. Make sure your friends bring cash or have Venmo. Otherwise, a great place for dinner with friends....but I'd prefer to come here for a romantic date.

::The food is undoubtedly great here which is why this is a part of my Houston staple. However I couldn’t comprehend the management style that has changed. It’s starting to be run like a get-in-get-out machine. Every time we’d have a by left on our plates we had 3 people come by asking if they could clear it. We felt rushed the entire time eating. I’ve waited on tables at a lot of restaurants and you should be taught the key differences between rushing a diner and clearing a table. It’s not like we didn’t order a decent amount of food either. When we received our bill and paid they kept checking to see if we paid. It was SO RUDE! That is a very big no no in the service industry, especially a place that has an intimidate ambiance. I was so disappointed that I likely won’t be returning here anymore. It’s difficult to enjoy good food when you’re being rushed.

::This place has been one of my favorites in Houston for years. Even when I haven't been in a while the manager, the valet, and the bartenders always recognize me. The food is consistently delicious. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!!
