I am so pleased with the staff at the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA). This is such an awesome program. I had a sewer backup and called a plumber to assess the issue. He said that I have a crack in the sewer line. My insurance did not cover the cost to repair it which was well over $10,000 to repair. I didn't know who to turn to for help. I'm retired and have a low income. I decided to search the web and found DURA. I filled out their form and received an immediate call from Rebecca Sanchez. She empathized, approved my request to get assistance from them and immediately sent a general contractor Joe Shanks to my home to see what can be done. Between Joe and another general contractor, Fred Yeazel, they sent a plumbing locator to confirm the crack and put out a bid to 3 plumbing companies. Less than 3 days I had a complete repair. I thank DURA and staff for the excellent service, caring and compassion.

Currently the condominium residents in the Denver Dry building have no access to board meetings nor do they have a representative on the board. Residents deserve to have a say in the how the building they reside in is run. We, the residents, and the building also deserve a competent commercial management company that can properly represent what is important; the building, the residents and the board of directors. #DenDryCA

DURA’s Executive Director, Tracy Huggins, sits on the Denver Dry’s DBCOA Board of Directors which has failed to meet their fiduciary responsibility to the condominium owners. As a mixed use building, the Denver Dry has complicated maintenance and political issues that the Board has proven ineffective at managing. Years of complaints and requests for a rewrite of the unfairly weighted agreement governing interaction between the two have been ignored
