::Our visit was awful. Chicken fried steak tasted bad. Staff was eager to help but the change in Denny's menu will not be bringing me back.

::My car had broke down by there so I went in and bought a coffee .the woman there was very nice and helped me give directions to my ride. Very nice of her to go above and beyond. Very grateful .bathroom was clean too.

::This was our best experience ever at a Denny's. Food was great. Our server, Thomas, was the most courteous and polite server that we have had in a very long time. Please ask for him whenever you come to Austin, Texas and to the Denny's near the capitol.

::So the 3 stars isn't in reference to the food. It's really about the cleanliness. Bugs were crawling on the walls near our booth. The booth fabric is falling off. You can see dust piling up on the walls. The ceiling is falling apart. And you can tell they clean the tables with the same soapy water and haven't changed it out in a while. Other than that, we had a bit of a wait when we got to the table. Didn't seem like there was any order in which the servers were taking care of their tables. We understand this location is smack dab in the middle of Austin but because of that, I feel like there should be more of an effort to get this restaurant fixed up and clean.

::I can't say that I was blown away by anything at this particular restaurant. A large group of us arrived for breakfast at around 9.30am on a Monday morning. The restaurant wasn't especially busy so managing our orders shouldn't have been a problem - but it was. Our server appeared to be the only server at the time of our visit. He was rushed off of his feet, very obviously stressed by his workload, and, because of this, his attitude wasn't the best. He certainly didn't appear very approachable - and I wasn't going to ask for a refill of coffee whilst waiting an eternity for my breakfast to arrive. When our food finally arrived, the server dropped one breakfast on the floor. Pieces of broken plate and food were strewn across the floor and a fried egg remained on a nearby seat, and there it stayed until after we left. There was no effort made to clear it up. My salted caramel and banana cream pancake breakfast was tasty. The calorific cake batter milkshake wasn't quite as good. It seemed to lack flavour. We had made it clear from the beginning that we wished to split our bill so it was disappointing to hear another server tell us "I don't have time for this" when the request was made again. The service was frighteningly bad. It frustrates me that tipping is almost compulsory in America, irrespective of the quality of service received - or 'absolute lack of' in this case. The service here wasn't even worth the 10% I would normally leave in my home country and that's only where the server goes above and beyond to make the experience a memorable one for me. Whilst I will definitely return to Denny's in the future, I won't be going back to this particular restaurant.
