The hardest part was finding a parking spot The DL kiosk is located on the lower floor of Howard School Building. Walk thru door and its to the left. Must have a credit or debit card. If you dont have your old DL make sure you know the exact details. Look straight into the machine. 2 chances at the photo. This was so much better than driving to Madison to get my DL. Win win!!!

Sometimes it just takes a bit of whimsy. Had a hole in schedule but time enough to squeeze in a stop to pick up plates at DMV...why not. Asked the front desk what the approx wait time would be and after assessing the line about 20 minutes. Perfect...had about an hour to work with...pets go get plates. Even remembered to have my inspection certificate... OK now for just funny...an associate had just come off break and said to follow him...great! Only been in line for 15...rolling. Gave him the titling forms and even remembered earlier to have my wife sign. Processing...processing...good! Wait...the new plate number seems a bit complex. Just for fun asked a question that I never had considered before. Ummm...any chance there are easier plates to remember? Well actually yes. Confusion....he went to another desk in the back and pulled out a stack of plates and asked my favorite number...13 I replied thinking that I might be on candid camera or something. Sorry no 13's but how about 7. Sure. And a new plate with double 7's and a pair of words that rhymed. Cool. You never know until you ask for the improbable...your wish may be granted.
