::First off, thank you RCA for donating this land to NYS to establish the preserve. Unfortunately, the DEC blue loop trail is getting overgrown and needs better maintenance. I would only recommend this trail for hiking in the winter (not Dec or Jan due to hunting) and definitely avoid it during tick season. The yellow connector trail is fine. The Paumanok Trail looks to be well-maintained through the preserve. Would recommend taking that trail instead. If the blue trail was better maintained, it would be a nice trail through the pine barrens. Too bad budget cuts have made it difficult for the DEC to maintain their trails. They should sponsor more trail maintenance with volunteer support. There is also a red loop DEC trail that hopefully is better maintained that goes through the Pine Barrens and by the old RCA radio tower antennae platforms from @ the 1950s.
