  We went late at night with little hope of finding anything remotely close what we wanted: Coconut water, San Pellogrino Blood Orange soda, Fresh rice pudding and true Whipping Cream. The manager was helpful, (he's thinking of installing a microwave so late eaters can heat up the burritos, frozen pizzas etc. that he sells). Happily we walked out with every item on our list. This is one of those magical Notions and Sundries and Scotch stores that either has everything you need and want.... Or it has nothing remotely close to what you want. In this case given the dearth of other open stores nearby, we felt gifted by the Universe and very happy. Clean, a bit disorganized (which only serves to hide the treasures waiting for you) and friendly knowledgeable staff.

  Because it has reopened with a new owner. It's now called Dave's Liquor Market Vegetables and Bait. The new owner Dave is always there he is an asset to the neighborhood.. He always has a smile and he is carrying a little bit of everything! He really does have a little bit of everything from laundry supplies, home cleaning supplies to eggs, bacon, chorizo, candy, bait, and Liquor. In my opinion he carries the best selection of Ice Cream for many many blocks around. He has 4 good size ice cream cases. He is open Sunday thru Thursday until 1:00am Friday and Saturday until 2:00am. He opens at 7:30am everyday.
