::Unfortunately in order to post I was obliged to give them one star. When in reality they don't deserve any. Horrible customer service but I think that goes without saying since most reviewers already mentioned it. The worst part is how they try to give you medication without authorization in order to charge your insurance. CVS are a bunch of thieves, they have been notorious for that.

::Basic phone skills would be nice. Especially when the wait time to get a live person has reached over an hour of waiting. To those that are searching where to go... other CVS locations have what you need. Including Rite Aide which is down Crossbay blvd. You will also have a friendly staff willing to answer your questions even when they are extremely busy and short staffed. This Howard Beach location needs a complete overhaul of staff beginning with the pharmacy department. I am not alone when it comes to poor experience at this location. Convenient yes, but not worth giving them your business.

::Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Waited 10 days for a prescription that I take everyday, I get the phone call it's ready and I come to the stora and it's still not rwady. And they are nothing but nasty about it. Most unpleasant experience.

::Minus 5 stars on most days. 3 stars on their best day, which was only today, after 7 years of service. This has been my family pharmacy for over 7 years. I don't get sick often but when we have to pick up meds, man is this place a hassle! And the service, terrible! They COMPLETELY IGNORE incoming calls and I've been in the store, waiting on line, while calling them, when there's only one customer at the counter and 5 people working at the pharmacy. I started the call before I entered CVS, plus they took 20 minutes to take care of that one customer, so I waited 30 minutes and no answer. I hung up when I was tended to but I was able to witness was happens with customer calls - THEY'RE COMPLETELY IGNORED! I also called the day before a major snow storm. I called 4 times in a row, waited about 15 minutes, and someone would pickup and hang up the call. It was on the 5th call that someone finally picked up. AND, when I arrived to the pharmacy at 9:05pm because there was a blizzard under way and my elderly relative was gravely ill with the flu and needed the medications that were there for her, this moody "young" woman gave me attitude even though I was polite. She kept yelling over me so I couldn't say a word. She started playing with her phone with an attitude and then laughing with her coworkers. The pharmacy still looked opened. I had been there several times earlier that night and the line was beyond mid-store. I had to keep going to check on my relative because I couldn't afford to wait. If they were normal human beings they would have some decency and capacity to accommodate a very ill elderly patient, at 9:05pm, the night before a blizzard. My relative got worse during the days after and needed to be rushed for urgent intervention. CVS should be sued for the negligence they ensue by hiring immature teenagers and childlike adults lacking professionalism, self-control, empathic skills, and common sense. Like little children, they ignore the urgency and gravity of the service they're providing and that fact that lives are likely at stake. They need to learn that their job does not revolve them and their convenience, socializing, discrimination, and attitude. They're a danger in the present and to the future of any society they have a role in. I will advise others locally and my family not to go here. I'm also a medical professional and will inform my clients to avoid CVS altogether. Especially this one.

::Regularly go here because it's my local pharmacy. It's open 24hours. So I get my baby's formula from here. Until one day I'm running low and I go to buy my hypoallergenic formula, because my baby has a milk allergy. I present her with a coupon she calls the manager over and he refuses to redeem it because I don't have I.d. I'm just a mom trying to save $3 on formula. Geezzz. Changing my main pharmacy to rite aid on crossbay now.
