  I had inherited a 30-year-old Ethan Allen table lamp that had a lot of sentimental value. What first brought me into Cutler's -- besides passing it every day on my commute -- was the need for a new lampshade for this Mission Style-inspired beauty. After settling on a shade, with the assistance of the indefatigable Linda, which complemented the lamp's classical feel, I figured that since I was there that I would have the lamp rewired. Muni not only took care of the rewiring himself, but did the same for two student lamps I had also brought in with hopes of reviving them. He looked at photos I'd found online and soon came up with the perfect metal shades. Some time later the Mission lamp developed a loose switch. I brought it in and Muni took care of it right away. He stands behind his work and does the work in-house. I would recommend Cutler's to anyone looking for a repair or shade. Their selection is eclectic and I would definitely consider purchasing there in the future.

  Mooney did a terrific job restoring my 75 year old lamp. I'm definitely going to be back for my dining room chandelier. Yes.... the price wasn't cheap but, you pay for what you get and quality, labor intensive work costs money. I'm very pleased with the restorative work they did for me!

  In today's era of big-box stores, it is most refreshing to find an establishment which offers high quality and friendly service. Cutler's Lighting in Great Neck takes you back to that lost generation of 'mom & pop' stores. We noticed the 'Under New Management' sign and brought our antique lamp to Cutler's in an effort to have it rewired. What we found was an attentive manager, Mr. Muni Persaud, who not only gave us some history on the lamp but offered complete restoration of our antique. A piece of the white metal had broken off the base and while confidence was hopeful, we were wonderfully surprised to find the lamp completely repaired, polished clean and now, in near museum-quality. We will return to Cutler's in the next few weeks to purchase several lamps and a chandelier for our new home. I enthusiastically recommend Cutler's and their terrific staff, Muni & Linda. ~Howard Manhattan

  Went to Cutlers based on a phone conversation with the manager Muni. When I arrived my schonbek chandelier was priced and written up as promised. Time was of the essence for me to get my fixture up for Xmas eve. Muni followed through with the mfg of the piece every week to ensure timely delivery. Chandelier was delivered on time. The day of install a challenge arose, the installation plate holes didn’t line up with our existing housing lines. I phoned muni and while my electricians waited muni had the plate modified for me in house!! Can’t say enough! I am very pleased I chose Cutlers for this high end piece !

  I didn't like the store at all. Very limited selection. If you want something very basic it may be ok to go to otherwise if you're trying to get ideas go elsewhere. Staff also wasn't very helpful. If you didn't like what they showed you they were done with you.
