I've only been here twice but both times I arrived a few minutes before they opened during the week and each time I waited 25-30 minutes before anyone showed up. After waiting the second time I just left and will never go back. I need someone more reliable.

Curtis is an excellent mechanic and his labor rates are great. My wife and I have had him decline work that wasn't yet necessary multiple times.

LOOK NO FURTHER! BEST MECHANIC IN THE FREAKING UNIVERSE. Curtis has been the family mechanic for over 20 years. We have always appreciated his honesty and integrity, but what he did in the past few days for me took the cake for all of eternity. A few days ago, I brought my two year old Honda in for what I thought was a battery issue. The car didn't start twice, and needed to be jumped. Curtis found that it wasn't a battery issue, but the alternator was going bad. He called Honda for me and found out that the car was still under warranty. SO HE DIDN'T TAKE A DIME, he helped me learn about what I needed, and that would be provided for free from the dealership. I brought the car for service and explained what was happening. The technicians tested out the car briefly, and certified the car to be fine. Never mind the anecdotal that the two year old car had been jumped twice, and that the information that alternator wasn't charging the battery. They gave me a free oil change and told me to have a nice day. I called Curtis and asked for advice. He told me to come back to the shop, so that he could confirm the problem and he would GO WITH ME to the dealer to show that indeed there was an issue. Long story short, CURTIS STOPPED EVERYTHING AND ACCOMPANIED ME TO THE DEALER! He demonstrated the issue with his own equipment, and the dealer decided to give me a new alternator on the spot. WHO DOES THESE KINDS OF THINGS??? CURTIS DOES! He even offered his car for me to borrow!! BEST MECHANIC IN THE FREAKING UNIVERSE.

Brought my wife's car in Sat morning for a brake light on the dash and general maintenance checkup (2009 Civic). Asked Curtis for an estimate of parts and labor for changing out the brake pads, $300 per axle but he'll need to check out the car more thoroughly to provide a more accurate estimate. Ok fair enough, I can pick up the car on Monday along with receiving a final estimate. Fast forward to Monday, called Curtis and he didn't check the car because of snow being an issue? I guess that's a valid reason because it did snow a bit. The next week I took the car to my preferred shop in NYC and the quote was $165 per axle including parts and labor. Even further, after a verbal quote was given the car was up on the lift and inspected. The brake pads and rotors were fine, the brake fluid was low. Both Curtis' and my preferred shop are privately owned businesses and each of the owners attended to me personally. The main difference that affected my experience for both is shop space and tidiness. Had Curtis' shop been more spacious, up-to-date perhaps?, my wife's car could've been looked at and I would be more than happy to leave the car there for service. The lot looks like cars packed into a sardine can also, so is there a long backlog? In summary: I cannot question this establishment's ability to do good work based on my short experience and the overwhelming positive reviews from past customers.

Auto repairs are black boxes to most people. We all love our cars but most importantly we want them to be safe. Therefore we completely TRUST in what someone says when it comes auto repair. Curtis and his team are the most honest people I have met in the business. After a repair shop in NYC failed the annual NY State inspection and give us a quote for $1,000 for new shock/struts and brake - we decided to get a second opinion. Curtis and his team checked out the car at NO COST and told us that our car was absolutely fine to pass the NY State Inspection and even gave it in writing. The gave us the detailed reasoning that the oil leakage was very minimal and should not interfere in passing the NY bounce test and the brake pads were only 40% worn and we can wait to get them replaced. Both of these issues should not cause the car to fail the inspection and indicated that other garage was trying to make money. Since Curtis and his team are in NJ, they couldn't do the inspection themselves but asked us to go to another garage in NY. We did and our car passed with flying colors. Thank You Curtis for saving us $1,000. It is great to find someone you can trust in this business. You have found yourself a new fan and customer for life for all future work.
