  The staff is all always helpful. They have a wide variety of ethnic food. They also just expanded to add a fresh cut meat counter and more shopping room

  This used to be my go-to area market since at least 1992 when Felix was the owner. I frequently shopped even after he sold it. When they recently changed over to IDEAL FOOD and did renovations I was excited new look BUT I see a new attitude has also taken place. Picked up some pasta they had a sale, mind you the pricetag with the sale price was directly in front of it. Get to register only to find out it was placed in front of the wrong item and the stock manager who was so very rude and unprofessional all but told me I couldn't read. So I ask for the store manager who sees me all the time and who I often speak to, only to brush me off as if I'm the problem. No worries, I vowed to never step foot in the store and spend my hard earned $ there again. You serve our neighborhood for which I used to be grateful, you survive because of us. Please remember this.

  The store is no longer CTown. It's now called Ideal and has been for the past month. Prior to the name change and management change, the store went through a renovation. It looks much better and shopping is much more functional. They carry even more items but they could use more healthy selections. The prices are reasonable too when you catch sales. But I feel the meat is a little pricey as much as Food World. I shop here a few times a month. I alternate between Food World on Sutphin Blvd.

  It's a decent Supermarket. Not the best but certainly not the worst and it's close by. It's ideal for getting a few things to stuff your fridge but as far as food shopping altogether, it doesn't have everything I want or need compared to larger supermarkets. Bit of a language barrier with most of the employees since they speak mostly Spanish and my Spanish skills are garbage so despite the 2 years I've been shopping here, I can't say that I'm familiar with the employees there. Other than that I come here regularly for simple stuff.
