::First Rate! Absolute best. Let me start by saying, I probably caught John on the worst possible day. His office connectivity was down - literally a CableVision issue - no phones, etc. Who hasn't had that happen? That stinks. Short story, that was the only downside of our interaction and definitely not his fault. John was the epitome of the kind of tradesman and human being you would want to invite into your home. Trustworthy, friendly, personable, skilled, thorough, respectful of you and your home, and confident enough to lay out a number of options and let you decide what's best for you. Lastly, he was clearly interested in finding creative ways to solve problems for me while being cost effective. Really. This is the guy that you bookmark to use every single time and hope he can do other things or refer you to people that provide the same caliber of quality for projects that he can't do. Quality usually hangs with other quality. Honestly, having a network of people like John can change your life for the better. I may be overstating slightly, but who hasn't had a horrible experience - cell company, cable company, airlines, etc. - that negatively impacted you for hours, even days later. Nobody likes to get taken advantage of by anyone, especially when it lingers. John is the opposite. He cleaned out my dryer vent, went over and above, showed me a bunch of really helpful things to think about when building a fire and how to care for my fireplace, including little tools to have if I felt like really nerding out (which I do). Even properly removed a rodent (he put on a respirator and told me about why you should always do that - good for you John). Bottom line: we should all be so lucky to work with a guy like John. His rate was very reasonable and that was the easiest check I ever wrote and I was happy to do it. Cutting corners is so typical, especially out here in Long Island, that when you find someone who does the opposite, you gotta thank your lucky stars. Thank you, John.

::I had John come back for my annual cleaning of the wood burning stove and chimney. Just like last last year, he showed up when he said he would and took his time making sure each component to my stove was working properly and cleaned. He uses great equipment and makes sure everything is spotless before he leaves. He's also an expert in this field and provided great tips on burning wood, stove temperature and how hot a single or double wall pipe should be according to UL.. He also gave a good lesson on creosote build up and what to look out for... Another great job and I look forward to having him comeback next year

::I fully recommend this company. I had lived in my house for a few years but was scared to touch the fireplace. I was not quite sure what I had there so I ended up putting an electric fireplace just to dummy it up. After having my interest in wood burning fireplaces rekindled over the holidays, I decided to have my system cleaned and inspected. I found CSI very highly rated on Yelp and gave them a call. John arrived on time - very clean, helpful, knowledgeable and honest. He told me I had a pre-fab fireplace meant to burn wood. He inspected and cleaned it and said everything was fine. I should try it out, burn some wood and he is available if I wanted to convert it to an insert at some point. So far, it is working better than I thought it would. No smoke at all in the house... Thanks for the guidance, John.
