::1st time since they moved back to original location. Just doesn't seem that they are using any smoke. I had the rib tip plate and something was not right. Old flavor was just not there. Very disappointed. I hope it gets better.

::I enjoy this lovely place, the owner is very approachable and a joy to have a conversation with. The staff is very family oriented and friendly which is always a plus. The food is always superior to any other mom and pop restaurant I've ever been to near downtown. I also, enjoy the fact that the owner grows aloe vera plants inside, anyone burn themselves an all natural first aid is close at hand.

::No-frills food with hospitable staff. Our server, whose name I've already forgotten, was spectacular in the sense that he shook our hands and got our names. The food speaks for itself - the ribs were delicious and had a unique flavor that you probably won't find in many places across the United States, maybe because of the way they're cooked. The area isn't upscale, and the parking lot is gravel; so if those things upset you, you probably shouldn't visit this place.

::This place caught on fire once and the fire department couldn't get people to leave. True story. My favorite here is the wings. You can get a serving of 20, which you're apparently expected to share with other people. You can eat them all yourself though. Good, authentic barbecue everything here. This is where I bring people from out of town when I want them to know what Memphis has to offer.

::A "Diamond in the Rough" : upon first impression, which are not always the reality, this location would come off unappealing; but, what I soon learn as many of us know - you cannot always judge a book by its cover. The building is older and is in the middle of some repairs on the outside and the location is one that although it has quick access to the main roadways, tends to lend to that first impression. This says a lot about personal preferences and being judgmental. Quite honestly I sought this place out as an easy access point between a friend and I to have lunch. It was definitely a good find and it debunks the thought that cosmetic appearance (although helpful) makes the business. The place was quite busy, it had various people from different occupations that were enjoying the food and each other's company. There was a DOT worker, several truckers, multiple business people and some neighborhood regulars. The food was prepared and brought out a an expedient manner. The service was engaging and focused on ensuring that their patrons felt welcome. Would I go back, YES! Local, small and hard working; they exemplify giving it your all to be successful.
