::Service was wonderful the staff were very Accommodating and pleasant,Room could definitely use a face lift and a deep cleaning, water in shower runs luke warm for the first 5To8 mins and the breakfast is more like a grab and go snack shack...very good location with a large variety of stores across the street...

::Run down. Room smelled weird and made me cough. The doors all were hard to open, everything kind of broken looking. I was even reluctant to walk around barefoot it just feels a little dingy. I’m not usually picky but I think I won’t be back.

::I was very concerned after reading the reviews here, so positively surprised when I saw the room. Pro: The rooms are huge and have a large balcony, and the hotel is opposite of a shopping area with all kinds of restaurants and 2 min walk from the beach. For the ~100 dollars we paid per night this was an amazing stay. There is also a very frugal Continental breakfast included and free parking. Con: there is no cutlery or other kitchen equipment and the mattresses feel very used Recommendation: We used the BART station in fruitvale to get to the city. It offers free parking after 3pm and is even faster than driving by car (as well as cheaper)

::Google needs to give us an option to rate 0 stars. We checked in this hotel on 8/12 and checked out within 15 mins. The first room (213) had a piece of medal sticking out of the floor that my toddler could have cut himself on so we asked to be moved....so the second room (235) was the big kicker. Human bodily fuilds were on the couch! NOPE! The rooms look nothing like any of the photos they have online...very disappointing and deceiving. Carpets are dirty and need to be replaced and the walls need to be repainted. Hotel is rundown and needs a major update. Absolutely do not recommend staying here. Money is better spent somewhere else.

::It is in a great location across the street from the beach and less than a mile and walking distance to downtown Alameda. The parking is free. The rooms are large one bedroom apartment size with plenty of storage. The rooms are very outdated by at least 30 years. There are box TV’s in the room, plywood cabinets and the carpet was very dirty and old, we could not walk barefoot on it. Housekeeping is minimal during the week, which includes fresh towels and making the bed and light cleaning of the bathroom. Sheets are changed once a week and vacuuming was offered once a week. We stayed there 15 days, waiting to move into an apartment. Only half of the stove worked and the oven was dirty, but if you request maintenance they do come to fix things. There is a laundry room and it cost $2.25/load to wash and $1.50/load to dry. It’s non-smoking even on the patio or outside of the apartment and there is a $250 fee if you are caught smoking. There is a bench near the laundry room where you can smoke. WiFi is the absolute worst. It is market rates per night but doesn’t provide up to date motel, hotel or Airbnb experience.
