  They were sweet and easy to work with. They accommodate my crazy schedule so I could relax in their comfortable room and even fit a load of laundry in, as this was one of many stops on a 4 week business trip. Breakfast was very fulling and other guests were also very amicable.

  Very charming bed and breakfast, nicely decorated and very clean. My complaint is that I paid for a room with a shared bathroom and there was no lock on the bathroom door. I had been looking forward to taking a shower but once I realized there was no lock on the door, nope. When I had to use the toilet, I kept my hand on the door just in case. It doesn’t make for a very relaxing experience.

  My husband and I stay in bed and breakfasts a lot while we travel because of the quaint charm, personalized attention, and ability to really form a relationship with the people who run it. When we arrived at this place our room key was paperclipped to the outside door where anyone could have taken it. We walked inside to find no one there to show us around or explain the house policies. My husband and I stayed there four nights and never met the people who ran it, even though they apparently live there. Instead there was a different college student every night, and while they seemed nice enough, they didn't really have much to say. Breakfast was decent but the dining room only sat six people, and I counted about ten rooms. Our "shared" bathroom was right off the kitchen, which made morning showers very awkward, and it was frequently occupied, meaning we had to go upstairs down a long, squeaky hallway. The springs in our bed were old and busted on one side, which was a common theme with other guests. One night we stayed out late and came back around midnight to find the downstairs door completely unlocked. I get that Brookline is a quiet area, but it made me very uneasy. The place was clean enough but the whole experience just left us feeling like we should have stayed at a hotel, where at least we would have felt comfortable and secure.
