::My wife and I enjoyed one of the best weeks of our 40-year marriage onboard Knights at Sea. Captain Conrad Sargent truly has a sailor’s heart and knows how to give his guests a 5-star cruise. We sailed round-trip from Miami to Key West. We were not sure which description best describes Captain Conrad… a first class master sailor, or a gourmet chef. We were with another couple who have been our dear friends for 30 years – they were celebrating their 20th anniversary, we, our 40th. We are all amateur sailors. Once the Captain checked us out on how to manipulate the sails and use the boat’s navigation equipment, he turned over the sailing to us (under his watchful eye) and began to produce the most wonderful meals you can imagine. We thought we were in a first class restaurant. From conch salad and oysters on the half shell for lunch to perfectly grilled rib-eye steaks from the boat’s gas grill located on the stern, fingerling potatoes, and flash grilled asparagus. Fresh fish was offered in abundance, perfectly prepared in ways we requested – sautéed, steamed, or grilled… we never had the same meal twice, and they all were scrumptious. We are so thankful that we spent our 40th wedding anniversary on Knights at Sea. If you are looking for an adventure where you can gaze at the stars without the glare of city lights, walk remote keys with loads of history to be learned, or simply enjoy the most relaxing cruise and delicious food you have ever experienced, you MUST book a cruise with Captain Conrad. You will not be disappointed.
