  Horrible, everyone that works there is lazy and doesn't care about assisting you and once you finally find what you want it takes hours for them to print your documents. They never answer the phone when you call. Whole office needs fired

  Very poor response. Ordered a birth certificate months ago on line and paid the fee with a debit card. Still have not received the document. For Reba Darlene Tennant, (child) DOB 10-26-1967 ; Dennis David Tennant (father); Gloria Mae Tennant, (mother). Please respond ASAP

  One of the ladies that works there is really helpful with the kindest heart (Yolanda Green) the other lady that helps her with phones is extremely rude and doesn't really like helping people. Yolanda helped me with everything i needed and i am very grateful. Keep up the great work Yolanda, By the way she should get some kind of recognition seeing shes the only one willing to help customers that help make your paychecks. the five stars is solely for the services she provided and not for the county recorder as a whole.

  By far the worst customer service. I dealt with a very rude woman, she made no attempt to help in any manner. Disappointing.

  Too bad 0 stars isn't an option. I agree with those who have said they never answer the phone. I work outside the area and I find counties, of likely much less tax base all over the country, providing a much greater level of service. If this is your tax dollars at work I feel sorry for the citizens of Cook County! What a waste! All over the country you find hyperlinked GIS, online document imagery, come on it's the 21st century Cook County! Update 9/28/17! Had someone drive hours to deal directly with this office and obtain a copy of a plat. Person had to work with 3 employees and is waiting in a line of 10 people and is told the copy will cost $50. This place is such a joke!
