  Most unhelpful and nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with. Was told, I am not allowed to talk to a supervisor that she did. I asked again to talk to a supervisor to see if there was another way I can go about the license and was flat out told no. After I begged to talk to a supervisor she said “ugh good bye!”and hung up! I asked how long the process takes and she wouldn’t give me a straight answer, all she said was “we have a lot of applications and we’re under staffed”. If you have that many apps. at $600 an app. And your understaffed that’s sounds to me like money being misprocreated! The problem is I’m at there mercy so I can’t be assertive or aggressive at all cause they can just screw me if they feel like it! So sad our government and county treat people this way! At this point I’m thinking about getting a lawyer involved cause I feel like it’s the only way something can be done!

  The woman in the office are very unprofessional (including the Supervisor), the way they speak to people is very disrespectful! If they don't like their jobs, or like helping people, then I suggest they should look for another job! NOT HELPFUL WHAT SO EVER!!!!! BEWARE!

  Treat you like you are scum when trying to open/renew a home improvement license. Also have the highest price for a license anywhere, $600! Never been ripped off and treated like garbage before.

  Warning about Gateway Energy/Direct Energy. Check your National Grid bill at the bottom. If you see Gateway Energy as your "delivery service" call National Grid and cancel Gateway. Gateway Energy is a fraud who is using "bate and switch" tactics to defraud unknowing consumers. They claim I was "enrolled" with them over the telephone (it never happened) and they have defrauded me and my family out of thousands of dollars. Do not let it happen to you. Call National Grid about it if you see Gateway Energy on your bill.
