::I had a positive experience renewing my passport here. Though I had to retake my photos, the entire appointment lasted less than an hour and I received my passport in the mail exactly 5 weeks later. Though it is difficult to get through by telephone, they responded to my email in less than 2 hours. It seems like most reviewers with a poor experience sent their application by mail. My advice for anyone who plans to renew their passport is to apply in person (they will review all your documents so you have the opportunity to fix errors), wait to have your pictures taken at the photo studio downstairs (doesn’t cost much) and arrive early (parking is hard to find). Depending on where you live, it may cost more to travel to Miami but at least you have a guarantee and peace of mind as opposed to sending it via mail.

::They are beyond full of it! I mail in my passport they got my passport had it for weeks and then i call to make sure they got it and my paper work was correct ( i spent 2 days calling they never pick up there phone !!) . They proceeded to tell me that i need to retake my passport pictures !! And I'm missing info on my passport form but you had my paper work for weeks !!!! And no one contacted me . it seems as though they tell ever one that to drag there feet . they are beyond incompetent . Please don't waste your time just take the time off and go into the office and get it done. Im going to make sure the world know and Jamaica Knows how much there service SUCKS !!!!

::I have been trying to obtain my Jamaican Passport and some of the reviews and stories that I have heard and read make me cringe. Well today I tried calling the Miami office and i spoke with the most attentive and professional person Stephanie. I believe she is the receptionist but she was so very helpful. I don't know if my papers are OK but after speaking with her i believe there is hope for all the people who have had bad experiences. I hope that everyone who calls the office get to speak with Stephanie. Way to go Stephanie. Job well done. :)

::I READ THE REVIEWS PRIOR TO COMING FROM PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA TO MIAMI AND EXPECTED HARDSHIP. ONLY ONE NEGATIVE THING FROM THE REVIEWS WAS TRUE AND THAT THEIR IS NO PARKING AT THE CONSULATE SO WE TOOK AN UBER WHICH IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. THE ONLY COMPLICATION WE HAD WAS THE PICTURE DIDN'T SHOW BOTH MY EARS BUT WAS FIXED WHEN THEY TOLD ME A PHOTOGRAPHER WAS DOWN STAIRS THAT WILL TAKE THE PICTURE FOR $12. WE HAD ALL PAPERWORK FILLED OUT AND RETURNED WITH PICTURE AND WAS OUT OF THERE IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES AND THE LADY THAT WAITED ON US WAS REALLY NICE. THANKS

::I can say that the travel there was a mess so be prepared hours ahead and there's no parking. When inside the building the line moved quickly, that was a plus, make sure you have all documents and application filled out properly, but they will take the time to help you fix any mistakes (me). I stood in front of Yvonne for quite sometime explaining my situation and she listened and explained the protocol , I thought there was no hope when she came back to me with a great solution. She didnt have to go the extra mile but she did given the situation I was in. In my observation I must say that Kim was also very helpful to the customers she dealt with. Overall I can say thank you for your understanding and customer service
