::If The Del is the jewel of Coronado Island, then the staff and food at Clayton’s are the diamonds surrounding that center stone! The staff were wonderful, and the breakfasts we had there on multiple days were superb. We were told the restaurant has been around since 1941, and the celebration and joy that must’ve erupted in there at the end of the war is - in some inexplicable way - still resonating. We can’t wait to come back. I didn’t get to try the pie. That needs to be remedied. Oh, and yes, we bought the mug.

::Solid food and a fun vibe. My favorite part was the 25 cent/2 songs jukebox. It worked for the majority of our plays. Service was great. You're going to pay a bit extra for the theme ($12 for a pretty simple burrito).

::This place is interesting. It is a dinner that has been open for decades and for years I walked by and never came in to try the food. It was on a Friday not so long ago when my wife and I were walking around Coronado that we decided to have dinner there and I must say I was impressed. The food was delicious. I tried the turkey dinner and my wife one of their sandwiches plus a serving of apple pie and ice cream. A+. We will be back

::This is by far the best coffee shop I have ever been too. You really feel like you are in the 1960s eating at a diner. There food is excellent and its in a great location. Parking can be hard to find but not terrible. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
