  Amazing gym with great classes. Why pay gyms all this money just to use their gym when you can come to cko get great instructional classes and be guided to your fitness goal! Definetly worth it love this gym.

  Excellent functional fitness and HIIT training with incorporating Heavy Bags AND great music! I’m going to miss everyone... especially Anthony’s dance moves.If my schedule had not shifted I would Still train here... who knows what the future holds... might be back when my schedule allows it. Cko Astoria is GREAT 💪🎶💪

  I’ve never written a review on Google, but I felt compelled to write one for CKO Astoria because it’s helping me reach my fitness goals. Here are my reasons for recommending this awesome establishment: 1. Cardio kickboxing classes that get you huffing and puffing no matter what your fitness level (It never gets easy!) 2. A dedicated weight training area where CKO members can pick things up and put them down. You can easily perform all the fundamental exercises: deadllifts, squats, bench press, dips, and many more. 3. Unlike other cardio kickboxing establishments that use standing bags or have their members strictly shadow box, CKO uses hanging bags that offer better resistance. 4. This Astoria branch is spacious (see the pictures, or better yet, take a free class). Plenty of space means, there is an abundance of hanging bags; you’ll never have to share a bag. Also, it never feels overcrowded. Fun fact: 22 laps around the bags equates to a mile. 5. Variety of exercises. Although the highlight of the cardio kickboxing classes is the heavy bag work, the classes also incorporate conditioning and HIIT exercises that might include (depending on the instructor) use of resistance bands, medicine balls, dumbbells, and jump ropes. 6. Most of the instructors, if not all, are trained in some form of martial arts. Some are even competing professionally. This means you’ll get clear-cut instructions from professionals on your form and technique. 7. Self-paced training; there’s no pressure to keep up with everyone. If you find certain exercises too difficult or have an injury, let the instructors know, and they will provide you with instructions on a modified version. 8. Great value for the price. Compared to other cardio kickboxing establishments, CKO Astoria’s membership costs are cheaper. In addition, based on the above points (1-7), you get a lot more for the value with CKO Astoria. Take a free class and determine for yourself if CKO Astoria is the place for you. Good luck!
