  I've been using the services of City Cleaners for at least 2 years. I had one really nice red Elie Tahari blazer returned to me with a big black spot on it at the very beginning. I was furious and left a voice message on their machine as I was really upset. They weren't able to fix it or take full responsibility of their negligence. On top of that, when you add bad attitude and lack of professionalism in handling errors, it is pretty upsetting. I gave them a second chance. I kept doing my dry cleaning there since there aren't that many options around in the area.. Until they returned one of my most favorite silk black shirts with huge white spots from what it seemed to me the wrong chemical they used to clean it. This is not the most upsetting part. What disappointed me and pushed me to make a decision to switch to another dry cleaning service and never go back to theirs, is the fact that I was told: "Here it is, it doesn't look as bad as before?". Really? This is how you run your business.. Not as bad as before. I expect my shirt to look spotless and I don't think this is an unreasonable expectation. Despicable. They are rude and don't take responsibility when they screw up. This is not the way to do business and build good image and reputation. I am done and will never go back.

  Very kind cleaners and tailors. Note: I've only had them patch up clothes or tighten buttons on jackets; nothing overly complicated.

  I brought my wedding dress here to be cleaned and it was completely ruined. They outsource wedding dress cleaning but I was assured it would be handled with the utmost care. It has an intricate lace overlay that falls into a train and the lace was torn in so many places. I'm heartbroken. I brought the dress back immediately and the manager was absolutely unapologetic and did not offer a refund of my $150 cleaning fee and merely offered to press and sew the holes. You can't sew up holes in lace. I'm hoping the bridal shop I purchased it from can work from miracles for me. Absolutely do not bring tour wedding dress here.

  Absolutely the most kindest tailor in Queens, NY. I had a hole in my Jansport backpack for years, and one day I passed by this shop, wondering if they could fix it for me for a few bucks. I show the man my bag, he fixes it in fifteen seconds, and when I ask him how much I owe him, he says don't worry about it. Truly the kindest service I've ever had in Astoria or any part of NYC to be honest. If you need a tailor, come and talk to this man. He is kind, and will be of great service.
