::I was involved with a ridiculous drawn out situation with Citibank, hours and hours on hold, bad connections, dropped calls, they were closing my accounts and had locked up six figure sums of money for two months. It was terrible. Thomas R. Kelly at the Bridgeport office saved the whole thing. He really went out of his way to fix it. This isn't a review of the bank, it's a review of that person.

::This review is about Citibank as an organization. The worst bank I ever dealt with! To make a long story short, they alleged fraud on my account and I kept telling them otherwise. eventually, I was advised to go to a branch to close my accounts and withdraw my money. Before making the 180 miles drive from Massachusetts, one of their supervisors from the fraud department called the branch and spoke to Alejandro to make sure I will not have any issues once I get there. So I drove 180 miles one way just to be told the account could not be closed because of fraudulent activities. I was physically there to confirm the transactions but they want to hold my money for 30 to 60 days because of fraud that I am telling them is no existent!! Find you another bank! support your local credit union! I was attracted by a 2% they were offering of their savings accounts but it is not worth the headache. they are investigating fraud but no one has yet to ask me any questions about the accounts or requested any paperwork. what sort of investigation is this when you are just holding my money under the false umbrella of fraud? I've file a couple of complaints but sadly they don't seem to care. I am weighting other options but if you 're reading this, DONT TO BUSINESS WITH CITIBANK!

::Absolutely the WORST bank I have ever dealt with. Currently in the process of closing out my accounts and finding a better bank. Customer service in this branch is equally as bad. Citibank does not care about their customers (other than ONE helpful person from the 800 #)

::I spent an hour on the phone getting ahold of someone to find out if I could cash a check that is drawn off their account. I was told yes, so my wife and I drove the 57 miles to the bank. Apond arrival we were told a complete different version. The staff is VERY rude. While waiting for a manager, another employee asked us if we would like to sit. We declined, as we've been sitting for the past hour, he responded that we are being a distraction. Really! I was told I would have no problem and drove the hour + trip for nothing with no solution. The manager Celina was less then helpful and said there was nothing she could do. Unexceptable!!
