  I was not allowed up to the bank (on the 18th floor) without an appointment, and that it is their corporate office, not a bank for doing transactions. When I called, I was told that their system is completely independent from the one in China and that they couldn't help me with my account opened in China. So they weren't able to help me with my issue, but they were friendly and clear once I was able to get someone on the phone.

  This bank is CMB's branch in NYC, tho it's not available for personal services.
