My family buys a membership every year and comes here regularly! The Children's Museum is not only a fun place for kids to play but full of science and learning experiences. The building is historic and large, offering nostalgia and adventure as you enter each and every room. They also host fun events/arts and crafts throughout the year. Finally, the staff is friendly and helpful. You can even ride the downtown Streetcar and get off nearby making this only a short walk or adding even more fun for kids before and after your visit.

Great!! My kids spent 5 hours there and we just left because they were hungry. If wasn't for that they would have spent even more hours playing there. It was a Saturday, but it wasn't crowded. I've been to better children's museums, but it was just what we needed that day...

Every kid will love the Children's Museum. Parents will love this place too especially if they are willing to put their phones down and play with their kids. There is so much for children to do here. There is also an area for small kids 4 years old and younger. But, parents of one of these younger-aged kids need to be sure to watch them in case there are other parents (of older kids) who are not paying attention and let their kids play tag on these toddler-intended areas and structures. There are many S.T.E.M. projects for kids to explore, body parts, imaginative play areas. It's amazing. I wish the Tucson Children's Museum had a cafeteria, but unfortunately, they only have a vending machine. Nevertheless, it's a great place to take kids. I only took a few photos (and some video) but there are so many more things to do. The Children's Museum also has birthday party space for rent. Family membership is definitely worth the money.

We have visited a lot of Children's Museums and this one is near the top. A membership, if you live in the area is the only way to go. That way there is no feeling of obligation to stay longer than the children can handle. The reality is that every time we go, one of us gets sick, but that is to be expected. It would be impossible to keep every surface and airspace sterilized. The grocery store was a huge hit and had lots of "healthy" food. It was fun to see other parents engaging with their children here. Well done, Tucson!

Went here with our kid on a school-sponsored field trip; kids were free, $5 for adults. They have guided tours, which is pretty neat, or you can go off on your own. They have 6-8 big rooms of different activities. What surprised me is that in addition to the expected science activities (plasma ball, sound waves, air pressure, etc) and the creative projects (drawing, building with blocks), they also have different occupations (grocery store clerk, train engineer, veterinarian, firefighter). Your child can spend a good 4 hours here and really get a lot out of the experience. There's only metered street parking ($1/hr, takes cards) or a nearby garage.
