  A common area was really nice, plenty of room and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and linens clean. The smell in mensroom could be better

  I stayed at 2 Chicago hostels and there WAS a significant difference in price... And no significant difference in rooms!!! I had a great time with 3 guests that I met the same day. We went out to eat nearby and shared a few drinks. 2 of them partook in party favors, while myself and a beautiful young lady shared drinks and conversation and.... Overall, I enjoyed my stay both x's! Staff was helpful and friendly and b-fast was super decent for FREE! I'm sure I will be staying at Chicago Parthenon Hostel again!

  I stayed here with a buddy for Lollapalooza last July & the customer service that Katrina provided for us to get our room set up was phenomenal!! Thanks a million again for everything Katrina!!! Pluses: + 24-hour Walgreens within a 5 minute walk + The common room was nice & spacious + You felt safe staying here because of the front card key entry door + 5-8 minute walk from the nearest L-Train station + The rooms & the community bathrooms were clean! Negatives - The two male receptionists I encountered there felt annoyed & impatient when I asked them questions - Each floor shared a community bathroom that featured only 2 showers & a toilet

  A reasonably priced accomodation strategically located in Chicago downtown area. Comfortable stay. Neat and tidy with a friendly host to welcome and help you with your queries. Breakfast though is very basic.

  Had a great stay. We were offered a private room in exchange for the dorm we had a reservation for. Much appreciated! This hostel was clean, felt safe, and nice breakfast by the way as well! Would easily stay again when in town. Location and proximity to downtown is ideal for the price.
