::A nice quaint place filling portions and quite good. The fresh made berry lemonade you have to taste.

::The food was excellent. I love the neosoul music playing in the background while eating. Chatted with another guest and enjoyed every minute of my experience. Would definitely go again.

::Wow! That’s all I can say about this lovely secret of a restaurant in Memphis. The service was exceptional, we got our food quickly, and it was hot and delicious! I ordered the Muddy Water Mac & Cheese, which has crab, crawfish, and shrimp in it. Yep. That’s THREE different shellfish in the macaroni, and it was SUPERB! I’ll be back to try everything else on the menu.

::This is my second time here. The food is amazing, it is made to order hot and fresh. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The light music playing in the background made me dance a little. You will not taste anything like this anywhere else. I highly recommend the fried chicken, the cheesy bacon potatoes, the greens, the muddy water Mac n cheese, the fried catfish, the honey butter rolls, the cornbread, and the banana pudding

::Yet Another Adventure: before strolling down to check out the tat shop, we enjoyed a delicious meal of one quite different item and a more common one but prepared in Chef Tam's own special way - fried ribs (yep, that's what I said) and chicken and waffles. I am game for testing all kinds of things but the idea of fried and ribs together didn't sound very appealing to me so, I went with the chicken and waffles. Although, I would soon find out when they came out that the ribs were quite a tasty surprise - I tested a small piece since I was curious and the chicken and waffles were not your typical checked and waffles. They were both lightly dusted with a spicy coating and the chicken was quite moist and nicely proportioned and pleasing to the taste buds. The waffle was a nice proportioned, golden and light and fluffy. To look at the outside of the place - yet another house converted for commercial use - you wouldn't conceive that this was in fact a restaurant but it it and it has a beautiful feel of home with a dedication of perfection and professionalism. It is locally owned of course and the meals are prepped from family recipes passed down. It is more than home-cooking. It is more like delightful reminder of years gone by. Stop in and enjoy some soul with your food...😎
