::Incompetent! I wished that I could give it 0 star!!! Today, we walked in for notary. However, its employee, Hector Venturo, have the notary public license but he does NOT understand the "notary". "Notary" is to verify the person's identity and witness the signature. That is that simple. He can NOT and should not review/proof document. However, he took our private documents to show to his co-workers which is totally inappropriate. Hector, who can not even speak English correctly, saying that he could not notarize the documents that we brought because he does NOT want to notarize the "legal" documents. First, if that is not the "legal" document, why it needs to be notarized? Also, it is not for a notary public to review/proof the documents. His responsibility is to make sure the person who sign the document is the person shown on the ID. He needs to be sent for re-training. If he believed he, a licensed notary public, can NOT (or should not) notarize the document, why he suggested us to find another notary public? I told him that the other Chase bank has notarized similar documents before. He can do it. But, he REFUSED to do it. I do not know how he passed the test to be a notary public without understanding the task/responsibility of a notary public. Anyway, inconvenient bank. POOR customer service. We went to another bank in the neighborhood. Of course, the other bank offered super service. And, it was done in minutes. Why bothered to be their customers for NO service??? We planned to close our chase accounts and are going to file formal complaints to their corporate office.

::I have a branch near us (downtown Stamford) which we have used the last 4 years. Today I called to find out if this branch also had a coin counter as we save for a year, then use those savings towards a wonderful carribean vacation. A man of perhaps the middle east based on accent answered. I explained we are long term customers and wanted to know if this location had a coin counter. He said no. I asked if he could advise me which branch does to which this is his exact reply (@ 3:12 PM today, 4/11/17) "I do not know, I am with a customer". I replied that I am also a long term customer (been with Chase since before it was chase / Bank One, 1994). He was very unprofessional and obviously does not know what this branch or any nearby branches offer in terms of services to their customer. This is the first time, since 1994 I have been this dissatisfied. This particular branch is odd as when I withdraw large amounts of our own money, they are nosy and want to know why I am withdrawing - they don't ask why I depositing large amounts ever. I am very disappointed in today's interaction. Overall, Chase is a great bank, but I was made to feel I "was not" a valued customer and that I was interrupting his transaction and he just wanted me off the phone. I don't wish to tarnish their reputation, just to encourage them to do ongoing training so this doesn't happen again.

::I have never had an issue with this bank. I noticed that most of the bad reviews were complaints about the parking. Well, the staff are very friendly and I am comfortable with this bank. This place really does go the extra mile for you. A merchant accidentally charged my card a wrong fee causing me to go in debt and my insufficient funds were waived because the manager was understanding. What an act of generosity! Also, thank you Frances for being patient with me! I have never been treated with such kindness!
