  I called for an officer after having been rear ended, and the driver was trying to talk his way out of the situation. They sent officers to look at the scene, but then, after the vehicles had been moved, they left after another officer had come on the scene. The officer was trying to say "there wasn't much damage" and there didn't need to be a report. I was very assertive about how I wanted a report, and he made the process difficult, to say the least. Hope you guys have cleaned up things since then, but that's part of any job. Sucks, but you have a higher responsibility than civilians.
