::Skincare goodies always make me happy, and I had seen Caudalie at Nordstrom and Sephora before. This is a brand founded by a husband and wife duo from Bordeaux, France. In the early '90s, they were taught about grape-seed polyphenols (which have amazing anti-aging properties) from one of the world's specialists in polyphenols. Afterwards, they registered a patent on the extraction and stabilization of the grape seeds and the products started making appearances in pharmacies. The duo have a family vineyard at Chateau Smith Haut Lefitte, where they use the grape and vine extracts as well as the hot spring water to make their skincare products. Their products are natural and environmentally friendly. I was pleased to see that Caudalie opened up a shop in CityCenter and even more excited that this Caudalie has a boutique spa (one of the few in the States!). I decided to step in and take a look around yesterday afternoon. The shop is beautifully arranged, albeit a bit small. While perusing, the saleswoman offered some tea and spoke about some of their products, even demonstrating their hand creams and eye creams for me. I ended up getting their shampoo, but I had 15 other products I was mentally bookmarking for future trips. Like I mentioned above, they also have a spa here for various body and facial treatments. I definitely want to come back for one of those. Appointments are recommended!
