::Attendant was a bit rude but the room was nice one aired out. Beds where firm which was great for me. Overall not bad but not amazing either.

::1. The first non smoking room I was given smelled Like a chimney. 2. The 2nd room I was given had no TV remote control so I got one from the front desk which did not work on the TV in my room. what a shocker 3. When you get home from a hard day's work you like relaxing in some sort of comfortable chair. I wish I could understand the logic behind hotels giving you hard wooden chairs to sit on. I would venture to say that the decision makers in this company does not go home and sit on hard wooden chairs to relax at night.

::They try so hard. Terrible location. Could be improved one million percent of they put sealant on the doors.

::Very generous people around the hotel, few offered to hang out and take care of me, and even offering what they said was best massage in town. I kindly declined as im not very social with strangers. Some ladies were rude, mostly the woman walking in circles around the motel, must be a popular spot to excercise. One man got upset when i declined the offer from what looked to be the mans wife or maybe his sister. Hotel staff was great, they offered to let me rent for only 1 hr, but i needed a good nights rest and opted for 24hrs.

::This motel is great, and I think people need to manage their expectations. This is not the Hilton, nor the Regency, not even the Marriott. It's a pet friendly motel that lets you stay near downtown San Diego for about a hundred dollars a night. It's got a pool and rooms with an air conditioner. The staff was super friendly the rooms and the pool were clean & we had plenty of towels and amenities within the room. The only reason I knocked off a start was for two separate things that are related: the neighboring rooms can be joined together with a common door from both sides, but my side had a key-on-both-sides deadbolt so I couldn't lock my side (door knob didn't have a lock either) and I didn't have a door latch lock on my main door. Everything locked on the main entrance but if there was someone in the room next to us we wouldn't have been able to stop them from coming in. We stayed for one night with last minute reservations and it was very convenient to the freeway and to the base. Definitely recommend if you need cheap and no frills for San Diego.
