  Carvel rocks - however, when the owner's aren't there they have the kids handling the store - and they work very hard. But, the quality suffers tremendously (to the point I wrote a review). Been coming here for over a decade (and mourned them when they closed for a while). The kid's can't make it as well as the owners and sometimes I think of turning around when the owner's aren't there. Not creamy enough, so it's a displeasure all around. Please rectify.

  Went into Plainview Carvel to purchase buy one get one free Sundays. I wanted to Lodge Sundays with chocolate syrup on them the sign was marked $5.19. I was told by the owners that the syrup would bring the total to 599 each. Now I haven't been in the store for about 6 months I think they're trying to nickel-and-dime you imagine having to pay for a topping on a Sunday they're going to lose my business and my entire family's business.

  I'm a sucker for soft serve ice cream, so naturally I'd love Carvel. I've been coming here for years, from back in the day when they were in the stand alone building next door that's now some kind of car place. Clean and well maintained, its always nice coming here. I do wish they had tables or something to sit at, but not enough to detract from their rating. Oh and that Ghirardelli soft serve ice cream they sell is a must have!
