  Wasn’t impressed. For the high price it raises the expectation. If it was wrapped in a food store clearance self wouldn’t have known the difference. $25 for twice normal slices of cake and two cup cakes.

  Watching Cake Boss at the moment has jogged my memory to review their baked goods. Opened earlier this year, this new outpost of the Hoboken bake shop is across the street from the Ridgewood rail station, Located in a historic building, the showcases wow. Though pastries are pricey, the lobster tail was very delicious. Nice play of duper flake with French cream. Tried the Italian Napoleon, some rugelach(excellent, though only 2-3 bites worth for one)--- Pecan wedge at $4/pop was spendy, but very satisfying...large shortbread chunk dipped in choc and toasted pecans. No line, and parking meter in front, with time left on it!---so excellent for me.

  The food itself is a bit more hyped up than it should be. The employees are great and so is the service. Their cakes can be a bit too dry. They do have some good M&Ms cookies!
