My Mom has been in Woodcrest for 2 1/2 years and she couldn't be happier nor could I. She loves the dining experience and the activities with Tom, who has added new themes each week to keep the residents motivated and of course BINGO. Mom is 97 years old and aways enjoys the entertainment each week. The Head Nurse Janet always keeps me informed if there is a change in her medication, diet and her general health. Director Grace Korpis has gone above and beyond in any situation that might pop up. I live out of the state but I am very comfortable calling Grace and know she will be on top of anything regarding my mother. It really puts my mind at rest. I would definitely recommend Care One at Woodcrest for a loved one who might need long term care or even physical therapy. They have a wonderful PT Department. The staff are always ready and willing to help me with anything I might need for Mom. From Debbie, Karla, Pam, Tom and all who make my life a little easier while my Mom is at the facility. Carollyn R.

They reported to the insurance that my Aunt is able to go home, when she needs a hoyer lift to even get out of bed. Surgeon said she needs to be nonweightbearing on her leg until the 14th. Now she's in the Teaneck CareOne and she's given the time she needs to get better. Careone... more like CareNone. **EDIT** She's in the hospital now cause she's been having breathing problems even during her stay at CareOne. Her platelet count was low and she had a hard time breathing. She's now critical.

This place is a house of horrors. An absolute nightmare. They’re understaffed, so all the patients are forced to sit in uncomfortable chairs surrounding the nursing station all day. They’re not allowed to lie down except to sleep at night. The patients are given no dignity and are sitting around uncovered in diapers. Their equipment is outdated and severely inadequate. My fathers roommate was secured into his bed with wooden chairs. The place is absolutely filthy. My father was there one night. In the morning we showed up and they were trying to feed him while he clearly could not breathe. We insisted they call an ambulance after they had a verbal argument over a piece of equipment while trying to take his vitals. My father was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with the flu, sepsis and he had a food-blocked windpipe. How could they not have noticed any of that? My father died the next day in the hospital and we firmly believe that Woodcrest was responsible for his death. Please don’t ever send anyone you love to this asylum.

My mother was recently moved to this facility and I called to check in on her after I got repetitive phone calls from their main number. Upon calling it took almost 10 minutes for someone to answer and they just passed the buck and transferred me to a "supervisor" but the phone just continued to ring for well over 15 minutes. I am going to this facility now as no one can confirm my mothers well being every time I call.

Woodcrest is nice from the outside. From the inside, its chaos. The management is atrocious, and the some of the nursing staff reflect the same miserable attitude and behavior. The rooms are stink and you dare not complain. Documents are filled in with patient care that were never given. Its all about ensuring that forms are filled, just in case they are sued, then the forms will show all is well when in reality the opposite is true. From the way they behave I strongly believe that some of the doctors and nurses who work there were refused jobs at a normal hospital and this is their next option. If you care about your mother or father etc. please, do not send them to Woodcrest unless you need life insurance money and quick. And also, don't try leaving reviews on other sites, they are all "reviewed" and are never published.
