Ouch! These guys sounded really nice on the phone and said that they could repair a broken blinker and the cover of the light. I came in, talked to three different people, one person looked at my light and said it would be $80 per side to replace the entire section (because they can’t buy parts individually, which I understand) so I said I would just buy the light bulb for the blinker. They charged me $30 for 2 light bulbs and 10 minutes of labor. The person who rang me up was different than the person who looked at the light but when I asked him about the price he just held his hands up and said β€œthat’s what he said to charge you.” I’m bummed because other ratings were really high in terms of price and service. I live down the street and would have loved to have an auto shop that I trusted so close by.

I have taken my car here since I purchased it about 2.5 years ago. I have always had great and fast service. When I moved to south Denver and my car started acting up, I didn't even question driving the 25 minutes to take it to them. They called me about three hours after I dropped the car off to ask how long it had been since the power steering pump had been replaced. I told them it had been a couple of years, which surprised them since it looked like it was only a few months old (i've only driven the car about 7k miles since purchase). I have no doubt that they were about to advise me to take it back to the place I had the work done previously since it looked so new, but since it was years ago they quoted me a price ($1100) that sounded rather steep to me for a car I rarely drive. After hearing the quote, I called a few other places to see what they would charge. All three quotes I received ranged from $1700 to $1900. As soon as I heard those quotes, I called back and spoke with a woman (sorry I'm horrible with names), who I questioned extensively about the issues. She spent probably 10 minutes going over all of my questions because I'm just the kind of person that needs to understand these things. Not only was she patient with me, but when I told her I don't drive the car often, she gave me an option that she really didn't have to give to me and most places probably wouldn't have. She told me there was a chance it may not work, but it could probably also last a year or more. Knowing how little I drive the car, I went with this option that ended up saving me $700. When I went to pick the car up, the guy was super friendly and joked around with my boyfriend and me. He told me he thought I would be fine with the option I went with, but to bring it back immediately if I ran into issues. I truly appreciate their honesty and willingness to help. I also want to mention that they have provided me with services in the past that they didn't charge me for when most places would have charged at least $50. This is what makes me willing to drive a little extra when I need someone to look at my car. I won't go anywhere else until they give me a reason to believe that they have changed the way they do business. Thank you guys again for being a trustworthy business! I'll be seeing you for my next oil change and service!

My most recent experience with this place was a huge disappointment which is a shame because I have always trusted this mechanic since they did my last repair. This past time however...not so much. I took the car in for a window that wasn't rolling up or down. I was quoted $400 to repair it and they cited the motor being bad. When I had a friend take my door apart (who works in a body shop), he found that the window was simply off its track and was able to fix it... So either Capitol Hill auto had a mechanic who didn't know what was wrong, or they were intentionally trying to rip me off. Either way, I almost paid $400 for an unnecessary repair. I won't be going back again.

These guys are really good. The most honest people in the world! They always treat me fairly and they take excellent care of my cars. Several times when I was waiting for my car to be serviced I've had the opportunity to visit with fellow customers. We all Agree that customer service and quality work is what this shop provides all of us. Recently I was on a long distance trip and I had a concern with a light that went on in my dashboard. I didn't hesitate to call Capitol hill Auto and they instructed me on what to do. I could have easily have been taken I also had to purchase a new vehicle for my wife and I went to Capitol Hill Auto Repair and they did a free pre-purchase inspection .They identified a number of issues that I would have missed. I purchased the car with the peace of mind that it was a sound investment. I plan on visiting them in the future and can't recommend them highly enough.advantage of.

The best mechanic ever. I own a dealership and I always have cars that need attention and I tried every single mechanic in Denver no good. Finally, I was referred to these guys and they seem very good so far. They take their time and diagnostic and fair price. Good guys I will use them from now on as long as they are good. Highly recommended.
