  Stayed in a private room (apartment) that the hostel provides. It was nice. Big enough for my group. We had our own kitchen. Beds were adequate. Linens seemed clean. Location was amazing. Would stay again.

  When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes to be let in the building but the staff was very kind and informed us where our room was, and the keys to enter the building and the room. They also offered us to use their 2 personal bikes to ride around the National Mall. The rooms, sheets and bedding were clean, and so were the bathrooms. The code to the front door was changed during our stay and we were not informed of this happening so we arrived back at the hostal and could not get inside. We were never told about the code change from staff, another guest had to give us the new code. The staff also came in the room without knocking, which I do understand because it’s a hostal but some knock or indictation that staff was coming in the room would have been nice. We did not take advantage of the common areas but it was nice that those existed. Overall it was a nice place to come and crash at night and then get up and enjoy DC in the morning! It is within walking distance of a lot and in a really centralized area.

  I have been to hundreds of hostels before but I have never ever been to one that has rude and uncaring employee as this hostel. I am a very reasonable person with lots of patience but wow.... The female employee who (i unfortunately) had to interact was very strangely demeaning and seem to not care at all (very very lazy). The toilet did not (honestly) work and (trust me on this) when asked if there is any breakfast, she lazily points out to a container with old looking pancake powder . And they seem to charge you for everything, she asked for my credit card and charge me EXTRA for coming in later than her shift, (again very lazy). I am writing this review based on my own (unfortunate) and honest personal experience. I suggest everyone to do their research and read the reviews. I wish everyone a safe trip in DC. Thanks

  A well equipped hostel, with some notable flaws. Wi-Fi reception does not extend to the kitchen/dining, and adjacent rooms, and the room had a strange smell, as if it were not aired out for at least a month. Otherwise an adequate place to stay.

  Good for the price, just a problem that i saw a mouse on the kitchen. Also the bed smells bad
