  Hands down my favorite coffee shop/wine bar in San Antonio. Full kitchen, too. Comfy seating and a bar with a big patio outside. Took one star off because of their hours of operation being limited. Otherwise, topnotch.

  I first started going here because it's the only coffees shop that is open in the evenings besides Starbucks. I have to say, this place has a certain charm that I like. When I look around, I think that this place could use a little sprucing up. Some paint is peeling off the walls and the couches could be reupholstered, but at the same time it doesn't bother me. This place is cozy and nice. It's not too loud for me to get work done. The food is decent and I appreciate the tea tray when I order hot tea.

  I always have a great experience at Candlelight and I'm sure to bring new friends with me every time. I love all the different teas they offer and they're open so late it's great! We didn't have to rush to order, eat, and get out when we got there at 9 PM after a movie. We were already making plans to go back before we even ordered our food. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the owner took our order himself and greeted everyone who walked in with a smile. Love coming here!

  Seems like a pretty cool place in a cool area. When you walk in and look around, there are couches and comfy chairs, as well as traditional restaurant dining tables and chairs. There is a bookshelf and a modest inventory of games like trivial pursuit. I really was looking forward to this. It reminded me of when there were actual bookstores you go to and sit in the coffee shop inside and spend a few hours. I used to love those days! Unfortunately, I guess this place is just too cool for the likes of me. When we walked in we were a little confused as to whether should wait to be seated (as there was clearly waitstaff walking about), or seat ourselves. There was a girl behind the bar, and after ignoring our questions a few times she finally gave us side eye and muttered something under her breath about seating ourselves and ordering at the bar. She really made us feel like we were being a nuisance. Admittedly, we didn't look the average patron we saw in the place. We sat for a minute, perusing the menu, then decided we work too hard to spend our money at an establishment that thinks it's above us.

  Have been coming to candlelight for the past 4 years and I’m always satisfied. The staff is pleasant and I can be productive in a nice space. For those with a sweet tooth some awesome things are that they make the cookies in house and if you’re ever craving a piece of cake they can satisfy that for sure. Today I got the chocolate bourbon pecan waffle and it was terrific. It’s always a great time.
