  St Charles Streetcar ride from this end point to the one in the west is well worth the hour (one way). $1.50 per person (cash, exact change, one way cost) and the transit authority has a website that describes the highlights along the way. Viewed a slice of the city and many antebellum homes. Beautiful ride out of the sun (and probably a good rainy day tourist activity too), with a little breeze.
