They offer free storage for your bike overnight so you don't have to schlep it on the train or during the day if you won't have a safe place to keep it locked up where you'll be. This is great because the trains have limited capacity for bikes and especially during the summer, it is common for cyclists to be denied boarding due to space issues. And on the other side, SF has a serious bike theft problem, so leaving bikes locked outside all day can be a risky proposition. During rush hour in the morning and evening there can be a wait for pick up and drop-off (but mostly for pick-up). The staff has varied over the years I've been using the service but they're generally friendly and knowledgeable and they remember who goes with what bike over time for the regulars. It is nice to be able to drop the bike off for service in the morning and pick it up for my ride home, or when I got a flat on the way to the train, to leave it overnight and pick it up after work the next day. Their service prices are about the same as my local shop and they seem to have average prices for parts (or they will install parts you bring in) so the convenience is really the deciding factor for me.

Man these guys are some of the most patient yet professional folks you can find. No matter how crazy the Caltrain schedule gets they have you setup in no time. Repairs have always been ace - Ian, Tyler and the rest of the crew are an absolute joy.

This free service is so awesome! Drop your bike off in the morning and pick up in the evening so you can enjoy a hassle free commute on Caltrain without the stress of getting bumped off of a train due to overflowing bike cars. This has saved me hours of waiting on platforms for a train that would let little ol me and my bike on! They will also service your bike for affordable prices while you are at work. I love two birds one stone opportunities. Earn your good karma and tip these lovely people well, they deserve it!
