::London-based Caffè Nero continues its blanketing of the Boston area with another well-situated café in one of the city’s up-and-coming neighborhoods. A mere two blocks north of the Fort Point location on Congress Street, this one is on the smaller side, but still offers a comfortable seating area with unencumbered views of Northern Avenue and the ongoing construction across Fan Pier Boulevard. Service is friendly and personal – there is no waiting in a collection area for your name to be called out. Your barista will take your order, prepare it, and meet you at the register for checkout. The coffee is dependable, with a distinctive flavor profile that is recognizably Caffè Nero. Food options are limited, but a selection of baguette sandwiches, cake slices, muffins, and other baked goods is available. Hot drinks and food are served on actual dishes if you choose to stay, providing a cozier experience than the average coffee chain. Prices for drinks are comparatively low, and there is no upcharge for non-dairy options like soy or almond milk. Additionally, the simple loyalty program makes every tenth drink free. This café is an ideal pit stop while exploring the Seaport area or heading to work.
