  I love this place. The coffee is always good, and the people are always friendly. Even during a busy morning I've never had to wait long for my drink.

  Where else can you get Fig Jelly on your Peanut Butter Toast? Great coffee too. Also on Fifth Avenue and Congress NE corner.

  On 10/3 at about 5pm I decided to try this comforting looking cafe after going to the same joint for 4 years now. I spent about an hour at the bar listening to a lecture on my PC when I asked the girl behind the counter if there was a place to plug my laptop into. Her curt response was enough to make me feel unwelcome and leave even at 75% battery left. Looking up from the text on her phone which I must have interrupted her from she replied, "Yeah, but you gotta buy something first.." Well I'd have you know that I'd love to buy something but unfortunately doctor's orders this week are that I can't drink caffeine and frankly I'm not interested in much else on the menu. Not that it matters much to her but I spend at least $5 a day, every day on coffee. Most days it's double that but I'll be conservative here. I suspect I wouldn't have to convince an owner with good business sense to see the loss of potential revenue there. I've worked customer service for many years. Instead of the attitude a more subtle and clear approach could have been "Yeah absolutely, let me make you more comfortable if you're going stay by getting you a drink. What will it be?" Aside from this, the place looks and feels awesome. It has a good atmosphere. The rest of the staff was friendly and it's close to campus. Despite the crabby-ass attitude I'd go back when I can actually enjoy a hot coffee and not feel unwelcome because I didn't spend money that particular visit. I gave it a two because I can get this product literally anywhere. However, customer service is where you earn the bulk of what you offer. See you soon when I can "buy something" and feel welcome.
