One of my favorite coffee shops downtown. Really nice vibes, nice mezzanine area. Super cozy, warm lighting. Coffee and food is priced as one would expect for this type of shop, on the more expensive end compared to your run-of-the-mill copy+paste franchises, but it's completely worth it for the good coffee and the pleasant environment.

Cute spot in Downtown SJ. It's a short walk from the SJSU campus. Probably not the most ideal place to study on a weeknight since they have open mics and poetry nights, which feature lots of great local talents that are def worth checking out on their own!

A nice little Italian style cafe. Great coffee and sandwiches. Close to the convention center, very close to The California Theatre. Enjoy American culture now for the times they are a changin'.

This is a casual little coffee shop and cafe. They carry darker roasted coffee (Italian style). I had a cappuccino which was quite nice; fluffy foam, and bold flavor. I had an eclair which was quite different than any I've had before. I travel the world and have had them in Paris, Amsterdam, Boston, San Francisco, and Baltimore and typically they taste pretty similar from place to place. At this location the custard was a bit more dry and thick. It also had a citrus (sour) flavor to the custard which was quite unexpected. The breading and chocolate were nice and quiet normal, the custard was just different. Might keep that in mind when visiting and choosing a dessert. The staff was friendly and the out door seating is nice.
