::The Allegro is a pillar of the University District. The atmosphere is dominated by students, but there is a larger back room where a person can bury themselves. Among the coffee shops on the Ave, this one is certainly the best and most established. Additionally, you enter through an alley!

::This coffee shop has a great atmosphere, cool rotating art, and their coffee is probably the best in the U District. As a frequent user of coffee shops in the neighborhood, I began avoiding Cafe Allegro as a study spot because it's too packed on the weekends. They can't help it that they're popular, but it'd be nice if they ventilated the back room a little better (it gets stuffy due to a lack of windows). Conclusion: Nice for a passing visit, not so nice as a regular study joint.

::You know, the first time I visited here it was great. They have such a great hidden spot and so much room with their upper level option and cool music and funky chill vibes but then the more I came here the worse the WiFi and coffee got. I won't give up maybe its just a few bad days. But over all worth checking out.

::They serve great coffee, with three seating areas. I liked their vintage style and it was clean&quite. But I’m posting a bad review due to my first time visit to this cafe with a foreign friend who was taking pictures of the place and suddenly a women working their ask him aggressively to stop taking pictures of her while he wasn’t even capturing an inch of her. I think a place like that most be treating tourist more nicely. Won’t go their again.

::Great local cafe. Very relaxing and social atmosphere, with two separate areas one for socializing the other for quiet reading or what have you. Did I mention the food and coffee? Highly recommended well worth the visit.
