  This place has some of the best views!! Ambience, food, service were all great! They made great use of their space for outdoor seating. And we were fortunate to have a live band playing below during our dinner. I got the short ribs for my meal. It was very tender, but the only thing that held one star back, from the full 5 star review, was I felt it lacked some flavor. Regardless, I highly recommend and will definitely return!!

  This place is a hidden gem for sure, away from all the fast pace of the DC food scene. Here you can have a quiet brunch or lunch on a rooftop with amazing views. It's not too far out of the city. I've biked past here a few times. That's actually how I found cafe 44. The vibes are great and the service is great, the food was decent.

  Delicious 😋 My first time dining at Cafe 44 and I will be returning soon. I was invited to celebrate a birthday and they made a great choice. The atmosphere, drink, food, and views were amazing. I enjoyed the boubon barbecue meatballs, house salad, and the creole shrimp linguini (add chicken). SO GOOD!!! Our server was excellent. The computer went down but he was able to keep things moving. The other staff members were all friendly and very helpful. Great job Cafe 44!

  Great service and great food! My husband and I visited on a Saturday morning for brunch and got a chance to sample the prix fixe menu as well as a breakfast item from the main menu. The biscuits and sausage gravy are amazing! The shrimp and grits were also delicious. They have so much outdoor seating with a great view of the Potomac. Highly recommend.

  Phenomenal service, great layout, and amazing bites. Service here was inviting, we were served by Hannah and she was full of smiles, great recommendations, and personality. The layout is almost perfect as the restaurant seating reminds me of a "Goldilocks" just-right feeling with spacing (Keeping in mind the winter weather doesn't allow for some of their best outdoor seating to be accessible). Preparation matters here, the dishes are well balanced in flavor profile and they also give great portion sizes -you will not leave hungry. . They had me hooked with perfectly poached eggs. Cafe 44 is a must visit especially now during the winter...I get the feeling the summer time crowd will be extensive reservations will be a necessary.
