::My husband and I visited california from the UK on our honeymoon and did the drive from San Francisco to San Diego stopping at many places along the way. This place has THE BEST BREAKFAST IN CALIFORNIA!! Cute, quirky little place with great staff and AMAZING food!!

::Great place for a quick bite to eat. The customer service was amazing from the wait staff to the cooks cooking up the food. Our kids got pancakes which were a good portion for three pancakes and they came out golden and fluffy. I got the PB and banana stuffed French toast, which was what the place was famous for and it tasted AMAZING and cooked to perfection. My wife got the French toast which was very delicious, though it would have been good if they could customize her order and add strawberries and whipped cream. Regardless we all gobbled up our food. Great location in the midst of downtown San Diego with inside and outdoor seating and good food selections for all.

::Cute little place - only had a few outside tables and only 2 that seat 4. Cozy inside as well - definitely cafe or diner style layout is the appropriate designation. I recommend to get waffles as i think that is what they are known for. Our group had the chicken and waffles, the 2 egg breakfast, and Joe's special. The chicken and waffles is for sure a local take - southerners should avoid. The egg dishes were okay but nothing exceptional. It was a beautiful Sunday morning walk from our hotel though and our waitress was very sweet. Watching other diners suggests that the pumpkin waffle and the French toast are quite popular and delicious :)

::Loved it! Best ham and cheese scramble I have ever had. Service was very pleasant and fast... We ordered and had our food out less than 10 minutes later. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

::Came here with my husband for a quick bite on a Wednesday at 11am. There was a short wait for an inside table. Seated within 5-10 minutes. Cute insides with really nifty teacup chandeliers. Orange juice was good. Mocha was mediocre at best, cappuccino was decent. Biscuit really good—they split and griddle it for buttery goodness. Cornbread blueberry waffle really delicious. Crunchy but still light and fluffy. Great amount of corn bready goodness. Peanut butter banana stuffed French toast really good (though wouldn’t call it The best thing I ever ate). It was rich and cinnamon-y. Lots of peanut butter and good amount of banana. They don’t serve real bacon, only turkey bacon which is a let down for my meat eating hubby. Good portions, quick and polite service. Happy we came to visit. Parking could be tricky.
